Texas Justice Court Training Center

The Justices of the Peace and Constables Association of Texas, Inc. has been involved in providing judicial education since 1958.

Beginning in 1971, JPCA was awarded a grant from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to fund a judicial education program. With that grant, JPCA created the Texas Justice Court Training Center (TJCTC) and opted to house TJCTC under Texas State University. JPCA continues to sponsor and direct TJCTC programs with the grant money provided by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
